Sparkly toilet

Do you still use bleach to clean your toilet? Well you don't need to... It's simple to switch to my favourite eco friendly cleaning ingredients - Apple Cider Vinegar and Bicarbonate of Soda.

Sorry guys but it's necessary for you to see the difference my eco friendly cleaning makes. Having two young children who do not remember to flush the toilet means it gets dirty so quickly!

I poured a cup of apple cider vinegar into the toile

t bowl and left it for an hour. This gets rid of any limescale build up. Then I sprayed the sides with a little apple cider vinegar and sprinkled a little bicarbonate of soda on top. Then I put 1/3 cup bicarbonate of soda into the bowl.

I used my toilet brush to scrub the sides. The abrasive bicarb really helps get it super clean. Then I just scrubbed the bowl and flushed. All clean. Then I used my Ocean Saver Eco Drop Multipurpose cleaner with a washable wipe to clean the seat and other surfaces...

Not only did I clean without bleach, I also managed to do it without using any disposable plastic! The vinegar was homemade, but it is easy enough to buy in glass bottles. The bicarbonate of soda is from Wilko's in a cardboard box. I used washable wipes which is just pop in the wash with my towels on a hot wash. The Ocean Saver Eco Drops are plastic free refills which i just plonk into an old plastic spray bottle I have had for a couple of years.
