More limescale removing

Updated: Oct 12, 2020

I was so excited about the apple cider vinegar (ACV) removing limescale in our problem toilet area that I was desperate to try it on our shower screen. I put 2/3 ACV into a spray bottle with 1/3 water. I cleaned the shower screed with my Eco Drop multipurpose cleaner then rinsed it down to get the 'normal' non limescale dirt off. Then I sprayed it with the vinegar mix and left if for half an hour.

After half an hour I wiped and rinsed it down. It has removed a lot of the limescale but as it had been building up for a while I sprayed it again and left for another half hour. I was amazed. All the limescale was gone and I now have a shiny see through glass shower screen. In fact the after photo below doesn’t even look like there is a shower screen in front of the bottles! Wish I’d got the edges of the screen in the shot!

You don't have to make your own apple cider vinegar. Its really cheap to buy in supermarkets in glass bottles. It is also usually available in local Zero Waste stores like my local one in Worcester called Pack It In https://www.packitin-zerowasteliving.co.uk/ You take your own container, fill up with your apple cider vinegar and pay for just that. No single use plastic required.

Give it a go!
